1.2 Released

StatWatch 1.2 is available to the public.

Cosmetic changes, dynamic publishing support, autoconfiguring feedburner stats pulling, misc bug fixes. See the changelog or the Backpack features list.

StatWatch 1.2 Progress

StatWatch 1.2 is on the way. In the meantime, satisfy yourself with a Backpack feature list. Unfortunately, I can't make the list world-editable so you'll still have to resort to emailing me feature requests. Appearance on the list is a good sign that they might get done though.

1.1 Released

**UPDATE** I've made a very tiny change for users that were getting the error with Serialize.pm - redownload and everything should work as planned.

StatWatch 1.1 is available for general consumption.

Some small changes (see the changelog) but this release was mostly for compatibility with Movable Type 3.2b5. Hopefully another StatWatch version shouldn't have to go out for the final version of 3.2.

Major changes are going to be coming at a slower pace. I don't like to force features unless I'm convinced of their usefulness. I would like to do a bit of blog-visit integration (like matching page visits to individual entry names) so if you have any ideas here, please shoot me an email.

Installation

StatWatch installation is meant to be simple and intuitive. Upload the statwatch directory to your plugins folder, chmod statwatch.cgi and statvisit.cgi to 755, insert the <$MTStats$> tag in to a blog template, republish and then visit statwatch.cgi in a web browser. Database tasks are taken care of the first time you visit statwatch.cgi. If you'd like, configure StatWatch to display your FeedBurner subscribers by clicking on the "Setup my feedburner feed" link and inserting your feedburner feed url.

Upgrading

To upgrade your StatWatch installation, overwrite your old statwatch directory with the current one and visit statwatch.cgi to make sure any database upgrades have taken place. That's it!

Support

StatWatch has been tested on beta versions of Movable Type 3.2 and may or may not work on other versions. StatWatch supports a MySQL blog database but may support other formats in the future. If you're having trouble with StatWatch, you can send an email to statwatch@raquo.net and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. Feature requests are also welcome.
